 GOT THE MUMPS -
One of the Soldier Boys Kept Away From Charleston
April 8, 1902
Mr. Ralph Maxwell, a member of the Forsyth Riflemen, after having completed all arrangements and having looked
forward with pleasurable anticipation to his trip to the Charleston Exposition with his company, was compelled to forego
the pleasure by circumstances over which he had no control.  Up to Sunday he had no doubt of being able to go, but
when he got up that morning he discovered that he had developed a blooming case of mumps and had to stay at home
and nurse his swollen jaws and keen disappointment.
April 8, 1902 - Register of Deeds Lindsay has received the pension application blanks.  They should be secured and
filled out at once.
