July 9, 1903 - VETERAN'S PICNIC

At a called meeting of Norfleet Camp, Friday afternoon, the first Thursday in August 6th, was decided upon
for the annual Confederate Veterans basket picnic at nissen's park.

On motion, an invitation was extended to the Daughters of the Confederacy to assist in making the
necessary arrangements for the picnit.

The following committees were appointed:

On Arrangements:  Dr. J.A. Blum; Geo. E. Nissen and William Glasscoe.

On Lemonade:  Z.T. Bynum, S.W. Cromer, Alex Rights and George Tesh.

Ice Committee:  J.G. Young and T.J. Brown

Watermelon Committee:  T.L. Rawley, William Hauser; S.A. Ogburn and R.R. Crawford

On Street Cars:  J.M. Rogers, D.P. Mast and T.J. Brown

Col. J.S. Carr has been invited to make an address to the old Veterans.  Other old Veterans will probably
make short addresses.  Everybody is expected to bring a full basket.  A good time is anticipated.
