ORDER OF INSIGNIA PLACEMENT ON RIBBON
As many as three (3) Official Ribbons may be worn to attach insignia. They must be worn side by side. All three must
be either 8” or 16”. Lengths may not be mixed. A 32” ribbon is sold and must be folded over to 16” for added
strength. General Officers and Ex-President of General Official Ribbons shall not exceed 16”; but a 32” ribbon is sold
and must be folded over to 16” for added strength.
NO COSTUME JEWELRY, SOUVENIR BUTTONS, OR INSIGNIA OF ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION SHALL BE
WORN ON THE UDC OFFICIAL RIBBON.
The following shall be the Order of Official Insignia placement on the UDC Official Ribbon, as approved at the 115th
Annual General Convention, Richmond Virginia.

• Plain bar or ’61 UDC ’65 Bar (No. 1a, 1b or 1c)
• Ancestor Bar (Original Membership Ancestor)
