DEATH IN ARIZONA OF PAUL E. FOGLE:  Body Will Arrive Here Wednesday; Funeral Announcement Not Yet Complete

Paul E. Fogle,
native of this city, died Sunday at Tucson, Arizona, he having been in declining health for some time.  Charles
Fogle,
of this city, brother of the deceased, left Winston-Salem last Thursday in response to a message announcing his critical
condition, arriving there about an hour before the end came.
Mrs. Fogle and Charles Fogle, accompanying the remains, left Tucson Sunday night and are expected to arrive in Winston-Salem on
the late train Wednesday night.  The interment will be in the Moravian graveyard.  Funeral arrangements have not as yet been
made, but will be announced later.
Paul Fogle was born and reared in Winston-Salem, at the old home, corner Belews and Church streets.  He was educated at the
Salem Boys' school and the University of North Carolina.  He was married in December 1910 to
Miss Gertude Withers, of Danville,
Va.  For a number of years they resided on Mr. Fogle's farm in Ashe county, but for the past nine years he has made his home in
Tucson, Arizona, and Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Fogle helped to organize and was for some time vice president of the Orinoco Supply company here.  He was a member of the
Home Moravian church, also a member of Piedmont Commandery, Knights Templar, and Winston chapter of the Royal Arch Masons.

Jan 21, 1934 - FOSTER RITES SET SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral services for William Henry Foster will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the home, Winston-Salem, by
the Rev. C.C. Roberts of the Fourth Street Church of Christ, and interment will be in Forsyth Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Foster, who was 58 years of age, died at a local hospital early yesterday following a stroke of paralysis Monday.
He was a native of Davie county but came to Winston-Salem 14 years ago from Marion, Va, and became connected with the B.F.
Huntley Furniture Company.  His wife, two sons, five daughters, a brother, three sisters and eight grandchildren survive.


Jan 8, 1934 [WSJ] - DEATH CLAIMS MRS. WILLIAM S. FISHER

Mrs. Kate Meckley Fisher, 71, 612 North Spruce street, died this morning at 8:30 o'clock.  She became suddently ill Friday night,
and her death was unexpected.
Mrs. Fisher was the wife of
William S. Fisher and was born in Montoursville, Va on April 1, 1863 the daughter of Michael and
Margaret Meckley.
 She came here to make  her home with her son, Frank. M. Fisher, where she died, about two months ago,
coming here from Hampton, Va.  She was a member of the Episcopal Church at Petersburg, Va.  Surviving are the husband; two
daughters, Mrs. R.H. Ovenden of Charlotte and Mrs. R.A. Slawter of Hampton, Va; one son, Frank of this city; five grandchildren; one
brother, Charles Meckley, Portsmouth, Oregon.  Interment will be in Forsyth Memorial Park Cemetery.


April 10, 1930 - Chandler, OK

William A. Flynt
  long-time resident, died at the home in Chandler, last Sunday night, aged 78 years. Funeral services were
conducted from the First Christian church at 10:30 o’clock, Tuesday morning, by Rev. Goff, assisted by Rev. James Cage, of
Davenport, and Rev. Carpenter, of Oklahoma City. Interment was made in Oak Park Cemetery. William A. Flynt was born in Forsyth
County, North Carolina on April 10th, 1849. His death came on the 87th anniversary of his birth. He was one of thirteen children.
Shortly after the close of the civil war he moved, with his parents, to Indiana, where he resided until 1880, at which time he moved to
Augusta, Kansas. He moved to Lincoln County, Oklahoma, in 1891 locating upon a farm near Kendrick, but moved to Chandler
shortly after, where he has since resided. At Lyndon, Kansas, on October 19, 1882, he was united in marriage to Miss Laura Denton.
To this union five children were born, two girls and three boys. Once of the girls, Tula, died in infancy, the others all reside in
Chandler, and were constantly with their mother, at the bedside of the father all during his last illness. They are Mrs. Ross J. Tharp,
Earnest A. Ginty E. and Elmo D. Deceased was a member of the First Christian church and of the A. H. T. A. As a church member he
lived a conscientious, Christian life. As a member of the A. H. T. A. he was held in the highest esteem by every member who knew
him and, for years, served upon the executive board. As a citizen he was universally loved and respected. Revs Goff, Cage and
Carpenter each paid a glowing, and richly deserved, tribute to his memory. The funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings
numerous and very beautiful, mute testimony of the great love and esteem in which he was held by his fellow citizens. Besides the
wife and four children, deceased is survived by one brother, Phil., of Chandler; and a number of other relatives in North Carolina and
Missouri. Phil. Is the last surviving member of the thirteen children.

Dec. 9, 1938 - [WSJ] - F.M. FISHER FUNERAL TODAY
The funeral for Francis Meckley Fisher, 47, who died at a local hospital Wednesday night, will be held at the home at 3 o'clock this
afternoon.  Dr. Ralph Herring and Dr. G. Ray Jordan will be in charge.  Burial will be in Forsyth Memorial Park Cemetery.

Oct. 25, 1938 [WSJ]- MISS FORKNER DIES IN CITY
Miss Nonnie Lee Forkner,
23, of 145 West End Boulevard, died this morning at 8 o'clock at a local hospital.  She had been ill for
one week, in a serious condition for three days.
Born in Princeton, West Virginia, July 13, 1915, Miss Forkner was the daughter of
James L. and Lillian Nelson Forkner.  She was
a member of Calvary Moravian Church, is a graduate of Reynolds High School and had a position with the Security Life and Trust
Company.
Survivors include the mother; three sisters,
Mrs. Wilbur Bryant, of Bethania; Mrs C.W. Foster and Miss Virginia Forkner; one
brother,
James Forkner.
Funeral service will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon, 3 o'clock conducted by Dr. Edmund Schwarge.  Burial will be in
Forsyth Memorial Park.

July 24, 1939-[WSJ]- FEARRINGTON RITES TO BE HELD TODAY
Funeral services for little Gary Autrey Fearrington, of Lewisville, who died at a local hospital at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, will be
held toady.  A short service will be held at the home at 10:30 o'clock this morning with the main service following at Brookstown M.E.
Church at 11 o'clock.
Rev. Walter Turner and Rev. C.E. Williams will be in charge.  Burial will be in Forsyth Memorial Park.
The baby was born September 9, 1938, the son of
A.B. and Tincey Wiles Fearrington.  He was ill for three days.  The father is
connected with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Survivors include the parents; one brother,
Charles W. Fearrington; one sister, Dorothy Mae Fearrington; and the
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
C.C. Fearrington, Lewisville, and Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Wiles, Danville, Va.
