[drawn in - hand pointing right] Commisioners report of Stokes & Forsyth

We the Subscribers having been appointed commisioners by the counties of Stokes and Forsyth to settle a matter in controversy
between said Counties related to a Patient in the Deaf & Dumb Asylum at Raleigh do make the following report.
We find that Forsyth is indebted to Stokes for the years 1852  1854 & 1855 at $75 per year which was deducted from the amount
which was due to Stokes from the
Literary fund 1852                            $75.00
Interest to March 1859                        28.50
1854        November                           75.00
Interest to March 1859                       19.50
1855        November                           75.00
Interest to March 1859                       15.00
Total                                                $288.00

At Dec Term 1852 on Settlement of county matters Stokes was due to Forsyth $191.54 as will appear on the minutes at said Term in
each county $191.54 Interest on same to March 1859 $71.82 Total $263.36
Balance due Stokes $24.64
which amount the County Trustee of Forsyth has this day paid to Joel F Hill the commisioner from Stokes twenty four dollars & 64
cents in full of the above balance  The seventy five dollars

[stamped page 227]
March Term 1859
which was paid by Stokes in 1850 was divided in the division of the School fund for that year between both counties as both counties
had only one set of Superintendents for two years after the division of the fund of Stokes & that C L Banner Chairman of the board
paid to Wm Mitchel the Chairman of Stokes the balance due the district in Stokes in May 1851  we believe this to be a correct
settlement of all accounts between the board of Stokes and Forsyth all of which is respectfully submited
