State of North Carolina to make a division of the Negroes belonging to the Estate of Wm F Atwood decd among the
heirs of said Wm F Atwood
State of North Carolina
Forsyth County} We the undersigned commisioners appointed at the last term of the Court of Pleas and Quarter
Session of the County to make a division of the Negroes belonging to the Estate of Wm F Atwood decd among the heirs
to said Estate giving to the [???] minor heirs their portion of shares in said Negroes in money as also to adjust the
division among the parties & to hereby make a report of our proceedings as follow we have valued the Slaves
belonging to said estate at the following prices.
Hugh at Eleven hundred dollars $1100.00
Miles at One Thousand " $1000.00
Elijah at One Thousand " $1000.00
Mary " Nine hundred " $ 900.00
Jane " Five hundred & fifty " $ 550.00
Caroline " Three hundred " $ 300.00
Eunice " Six hundred " $ 600.00
Making a sum total of Five Thousand Four hundred & Fifty dollars Say $5450.00 The old negro woman Jeny being old
& cripeled who was ordered to be given to one of the petitioners with a stipulated sum for her maintainance for life
remains by consent of all parties with the Widow Mary Atwood who receives from the negro fund before division the sum
of Two hundred and ten dollars $210.00 for keeping Jeney her life time.
The amount Total Value of the negroes Five Thousand Four Hundred & Fifty dollars after the deduction of the Two
hundred & Ten dollars for Jeny maintainance will be $5240.00 which divide equally among the heirs Mary Atwood
Jesse W Atwood Charles Atwood Andrew Rothrock & his wife Elizabeth Belinda Atwood B F Atwood John T Atwood &
Antoinett V Atwood will give to each tthe sum of Six Hundred & fifty five dollars $655.00. We have consequently made &
ordered the follow division
