L.R. Jones & H.C. Jones purchased
44 acres from Mary S. Harper,
adjoining Joel A. Freeman and E.H.
Wright. The family moved the Old
Blackburn School House from
down the road near Harmony
Grove Church, to the property for
a family home and moved in 1903.
The house was moved again in
1931 about 150 feet north for
construction of a new family home.
